How to Play

The objective: The player or team with the highest total points after five rounds wins.
4–5recommended players(6–10 with two decks or teams)
30–45minutes(for a full 5-round game)
8colored decks(5 rounds per deck)
01

Setup

Choose one of the 8 colored decks. Start with Round 1 and progress through Round 5. The dealer — which rotates each round — controls the sand timer.

  • Exactly 5 players: Each player receives one card face down.
  • Fewer than 5 players: Deal one card face down to each player. Place the remaining cards in a "Draw Pile" to the left of the dealer, and create a "Discard Pile" to the right of the last player.
  • 6 to 10 players: Combine two decks so there are enough cards for everyone, or split into teams.
02

Gameplay

A Rhymage is the two rhyming images shown on each card. Here's how a round works:

  • Each turn lasts 60 seconds. Players look at their card and secretly write down the Rhymage.
  • When time is up, the dealer shouts "Switch!" and all players pass their card clockwise.
  • The timer resets, and players repeat this process until everyone has guessed every card in play.
  • Once the round is finished, the dealer reads the correct answers from the Answer Key.
03

The Speed Round

The final round lasts 60 seconds TOTAL for the entire round.

  • All cards are spread out face-down in the center of the table.
  • Players grab only ONE card at a time, write down their answer, and then grab another.
  • Keep grabbing and guessing until the 60-second timer runs out.
04

House Rules

  • Answers always contain two closely rhyming words or phrases.
  • "Close enough" answers are decided by group vote (thumbs up / thumbs down, majority rules).
  • If both rhyming words are present in your guess, the answer is considered correct.

How to Score

Players earn points based on how many people guessed the card correctly:

  • 5 players correct: 1 point each
  • 4 players correct: 2 points each
  • 3 players correct: 3 points each
  • 2 players correct: 4 points each
  • Only 1 player correct: 5 points
  • Bonus Point: If your answer is an exact match to the Answer Key, you earn 1 additional point.
  • Speed Round Scoring: All scoring is doubled, including Bonus Points.
  • Players total their own points (honor system applies).
